The younger of two Luther-brothers, Rafael is in many ways the opposite of his brother, who also played for the Jade until recently.
Where his brother was cool and tactical, and preferred technique above force, Rafael is a hot-tempered, passionate and aggressive Blitzer. He uses his personality to his own (and the teams) advantage more often than not.
More than perhaps anyone on the team, Rafael is likely to run those extra feet before ridding himself of the ball, or to make that tackle no matter the size of the ballcarrier. He has also been described as the biggest talent to ever have been brought up the teams inner ranks.
All of this added up, made sure that he was elected Captain when a niggling injury forced his brother Aenathon retired on a hopefully temporary basis. But Rafael is far from intending to give up the leadership of the team to his brother, or anyone else for that matter...
