Amy Allen first came into contact with the A-Team while working for the Los Angeles Courier as a journalist. She hired them to track down her fellow journalist, Al Massey, who had been captured in Mexico and after the A-Team had freed Massey, Amy blackmailed the team by threatening to write a feature about them. Amy would often use her position as a journalist to good effect, keeping the A-Team under wraps.
Amy left during 1984 (in the second season) to become foreign correspondent with The LA Courier.
