Lance "Duct Tape" Miller is the first catcher the Mediocres have signed. The head coach has been quoted as not trusting the players because of their usually lighter pads and the fact they trade speed for strength, but since the team is in the midst of a long losing streak, the owner has put his foot down. Duct Tape got his name from the rumor he covers his hands in the sticky product to help him catch passes.
<b>[[Game 33]]</b>
In the best performance of his young career, Duct Tape made headlines with an excellent block against a bull centaur. It was Duct Tape's first block of his career, and it resulted in a serious injury to the centaur. Unfortunately, the opponent's apothecary was paying attention and saved the centaur's leg, but not before Duct Tape was hailed by the head coach as the hero of the game.

During a 1-1 tie against a powerful chaos team, Duct Tape scored another casualty, and the only one for the Mediocres that game. Unfortunately, a great block near the end of the second half kept Duct Tape out of the end zone and a last ditch throw didn't make it.

Duct Tape's recent lack of contributing to the team have left fans wondering whether the catcher is going to be with the team much longer. The rise of fellow catcher Damon Stone has put some pressure on Duct Tape to perform. The head coach insists that Duct Tape's position on the roster isn't in jeopardy, but there are reports about coaches and players not being happy with his current productivity.
