Goran "Pickles" Vlasic is the fourth thrower the Mediocres have hired to their squad. The first three (Buttertop, Buttertop Junior, and Double Dribble) have all been rather disappointing. Pickles has been signed and placed into the lineup as the first team thrower, already placed over veteran Double Dribble, who has pulled lineman duty due to recent inabilities to throw the ball for any distance or accuracy. Pickles comes from the deep valleys of a land called Bugo, where his family grows cucumbers.

Fan message boards were aflame with drubbings of Pickles after a 2-1 loss to a fellow human team. Pickles failed twice to pick up the ball, fumbling and allowing the other team to get an early score, and fumbling again to place the Mediocres in a deep hole.

The curse of the Mediocres' throwers is alive and well. In a 3-0 loss, Pickles was pounded by a bull centaur and was hampered with a serious concussion. With the serious problems at the thrower position, it is unclear whether the team will look for a fifth thrower, or keep Pickles on the roster.
