Ricardo "Amigo" Ayamar has been touted for his athleticism and ability to throw the ball. As soon as the young man graduated high school, he was signed to the Mediocres' squad as the fifth thrower. The fans reactions to the hiring, after the 40th game, were mixed. Some believe the team should work only on throwing, while others, noting the four previous throwers and the lack of an actual receiving catcher, believe the team should try running more often.

His athletic efforts have helped him increase his speed and stamina, allowing him to run further.
