<b>* 2008-06-28</b> - Gemji the Glorious, the greatest thrower the Harlequins have had the honor of fielding so far, retired after a long and distinguished career. Hey played through <i>E.L.F season XV</i>, as well as three minor tournaments and one major.
Fans loved him for his straight forward, blades flashing kind of play, more akin to a power blitzer than a thrower and his aggressiveness payed off again and again. It's true that he never got the completion rate or yardage that McZapp got but what Gemji brought to the team is far more important. He brought a fighting spirit and a belief in his physical superiority that always seemed hard for opponents to deal with. Respect and fear, that was Gemjis legacy!
Nothing he did was average. But then again what else could one expect from a player who was taught by the great <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=4897635>Aethis Poe</a> and old <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=4280252>Froo Freebreeze.</a>
Gemji Hudson will be missed but at least he leaves the Quins in the capable hands of <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=4990643>J.J McPink</a>, the thrower Gemji tutored through out their partnership on the team.
