A relative newcomer to the /tg/ board, a 4th Edition thread relates to the upcoming version of D&D that promises easier rules management, DM software, and more fun whilst retaining the original flavour of the game. It also brings forth lots of lore rewrites that upset a lot of people, and the introduction as core creatures entities such as Tielflings (who have had their entire existence retconned and their appearance changed) and Dragonborn (who are dragon-people). Mix in the changing of certain abilities and the fact that Tielflings look suspiciously like World of Warcraft Draenei, and you have a a high success of any thread about it turning into a miasma of lamentation and arguing.

All this pales however in comparison to the fact that 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons is not out yet, and that when it does hit the stores the entire internet will probably burst into flames as everyone starts arguing based on the full information. For the storm to come and the storm already in progress, 4th Edition is a /tg/ ogre through and through.
