Willow transforms the Amy-rat back into Amy & Spike suspects something is wrong with his chip.

<b>Plot Highlights:</b>

Buffy vs muggers. No kissing for Spike. Lonely Willow realizes she can de-rat Amy. Warren & co steal a diamond. Buffy starts to talk to Willow about Spike, but spots Amy. Buffy patrols the crime scene, gets into a little scuffle with Spike. Spike, thinking his chips deactivated, stalks a girl. Tara & Dawn bond. Willow magically interfaces with her laptop, tries to downplay Tara's leaving. Spike forces Warren to examine his chip. Amy talks Willow into a night out. Dawn guilts Tara. Amy & Willow engage in recreational magic at the Bronze. Xander & Anya tell Buffy their Willow-concerns. Spike confronts Buffy & they pull an abandonned building down around them.

BUFFY: And so my night is now complete.

SPIKE: You never showed.

BUFFY: Sorry. Little busy actually doing stuff.

SPIKE: You shouldn't be so flip, luv.

BUFFY: What are you gonna do, walk behind me to death?

SPIKE: I'm just saying things might be a little different. You oughta be careful.

BUFFY: Enough. (she starts to go, he blocks her) Get out of my way.

SPIKE: Or what? (she shrugs, punches him) Oh, the pain! The pain! (grimly) Is gone. Guess what I just found out. Looks like I'm not as toothless as you thought, sweetheart.

BUFFY: (alarmed) How?

SPIKE: Don't you get it? Don't you see? (sneering) You came back wrong.

(she punches him a few times, he responds in kind)

BUFFY: It's a trick. You did something to the chip, it's a trick.

SPIKE: It's no trick. It's not me, it's you. Just you, in fact, that's the funny part. (punches her in the face) 'Cause you're the one that's changed. (punches again) That's why this doesn't hurt me. (grins) Came back a little less human than you were.
