You should not judge a book by its cover, at least not in the case of Plumsarn. Despite his frightening appearance, you would realize that Plumsarn is a gentle, mild-mannered person if only you got to know him. Being a peaceful fellow, Plumsarn does not like Blood Bowl at all and the only reason he plays is to put himself through college. Having always found rocks to be, not only well-tasting as most trolls do, but also interesting, Plumsarn applied to study geology at the college of Altdorf. Being a troll makes studying hard, and expensive, as Plumsarn often forgets what he is doing when he is reading and eats his books, and so in order to be able to pay for extra books and tuition, Plumsarn has begun playing Blood Bowl as a part time job.

Because of his peaceful nature, Plumsarn tries to not hit the opposing players too hard by pulling his punches, as he would not like to harm anyone. In his first three games Plumsarn managed to play without hurting anyone worse than knocking them out, but in his fourth game, which was against a goblin team, his great strength was simply too much, and a goblin was seriously injured. After the game Plumsarn apologized many times and when he came home he cried and cried. Hopefully Plumsarn will have earned enough gold so that he can stop playing Blood Bowl and go back to full-time studying before he ends up killing someone by accident.
