Karl Krieger was a petty criminal serving one of many small terms to which he had been sentenced in the duke's dungeon. While cooling his heels in his cell for short-sheeting the duke's wizard's bed, he was pulled from his cell by the guards and given a new sentence: instead of ten years in a dank dungeon, he would serve as a lineman on the newly gazetted Blood Bowl team for Stirland, the Spitfires. He instantly accepted the new sentence and grew to become a valued member of the team.
Krieger lasted for seven games, and during that time performed admirably on the field. However, it was during the Spitfires seventh game against the dark elf team, the Bling Bling Kings, that he met his demise. While attempting to shore up the line in the center of the field, a dark elf lineman named Fazoul came up from behind him on a blitz and slit his throat. While it was called a fair play on the field, Krieger's death inspired the Spitfires to victory that day. He will be mourned and remembered.
