Skallgrim Skallgrimson, after whom the team is named, died in the first round of his first game, when blized by a mummy, having used his Dauntless skill to knock down the undead creature the round before. In fact, it was the opponents first block in the game. That is, the first block thrown at Skallgrim's team ever killed him. Maybe it was not such a good idea for Skallgrim to start a blood bowl team afterall - he should have stayed in the troll-slaying business... But, on the other hand, dwarfs NEVER GIVE UP!
