After long training, every player wants to go on the field... and Elmer did that, with a vengeance. Elmer didn't just play like a well trained soldier of Nuffle, he also kept developing his skills. So already after the first nine matches, he had learned to handle those situations where it just seems like both guys will go down in a block. This of course kept him where the action is, so he also kept fit. He is well respected on the team even by the blitzer Albert Laubtschell, though he doesn't have the speed of Albert... mostly beacuse he can beat up Albert!
