Former President of Guatemala, head of its military government, and promiment actor in Guatemalas 36-year civil war from 1960 to 1996. His conduct therein had been declared genocide by a UN commission leading to roughly 200.000 civilian deaths, most of them ethnically Maya. He is still at large in present day Guatemala, although the government has been pressured to arrest him. He has also been summoned by spanish courts to answer for crimes against humanity, but has failed to turn up.
