Mathias ”Zanka” Jørgensen is born and bred around PARKEN, and has played all his life for B93, a local club in Østerbro - the neighborhood where PARKEN is situated. In July 2007 he signed a contract with F.C. Copenhagen.
No one has ever doubted that Mathias had talent, and he has already played for both the U16-, U17-, U18- and U21 national teams, and in the winter of 2008 he even made his debut in the Danish League national A-team.
In 2007 Mathias made his senior debut for B93 in the 2nd division, and he was part of a side that ended the season with four victories in a row – and in these matches Mathias showed that he could be the best defender Denmark has ever seen.
Mathias prefers to play central defender, where he gets full use of both his speed and his 191 centimetres. All this, plus his abilities to “play the ball” and be an attacking defender, is some of the reasons that everyone around F.C. Copenhagen is looking forward to see what the future will bring for Mathias... and of course for F.C. Copenhagen.
