Grippa, an original first-teamer, is one of a rare breed: an orc that thinks beyond the next punch. But that doesn't take away from his enjoyment of causing pain. As he so aptly said after running in his ninth TD:

'I like seeing dem pelfs cry wen I run the ball for a TD. Dey cry harder when I hit 'em after.'

After 18 matches Grippa stood on the brink of stardom, on 49SPP, the highest in the team.

However, ageing costs him an MV point when he hits star status on 7/1/08. The all-action TD machine settles back to defence, leaving the scoring to the younger orcs...

In his 34th game, after his third MVP, Grippa hit 77SPPs, only to wake up the next morning with a badly swollen fist. After undergoing surgery at 'Honest Bill's cut'n'sew', he pronounced himself fit to rejoin the team.

Head coach Gutrot Finkinstill reassured fans with a clear message about Grippa's future role in the team:

'We're not gonna trayd 'im an' he sellz too many shertss to sit on da bench. We'll pick 'im if he's feelin' good'nuff to play.'

After 48 games and a whole heap of tribal groupie action, Grippa chose to step to one side to let some of the younger players have a shot at the limelight.
