It is well known that Mr. Meehan has served as an educator and Chaos Warrior for the Detention Givers for over fifty years. What is less well known is that sixteen years ago he actually died, and was instantly re-animated, while demonstrating the use of a Van de Graaff generator. The change in Mr. Meehan's behavior was so slight that many students didn't even notice the transition. He went on to teach for another seven years until his forced retirement amid rumors that he had been snacking on year 10 brains during his Wednesday afternoon class.
Coach Nigglefish, a student of Mr. Meehan's at the time, when asked about the fateful day of his teacher's death responded nostalgically, "I remember it clearly. We were at the back of the room ignoring the lesson, as always, when the most amazing thing happened. I don't think anyone else noticed, but when that big silver ball shot lightning at Mr. Meehan's head I just knew that he was a goner. When he just kept on mumbling, as oblivious to the accident as he was to the class, I just knew I had witnessed something amazing. Everyone has that one teacher who reaches them. For me it was Mr. Meehan. That was the day I knew I wanted to become a Necromancer."
The fact that Mr. Meehan is now a player for two separate teams in the Princess Hill Invitational has been the cause of much controversy, with many questioning what will happen if the two teams ever meet on the field. Will he play with his Undead brethren or side with his old school colleagues? Others suggest that the Mr. Meehan from the Detention Givers is an impostor and wonder who is really under that armour. Still others believe that the existence of two Mr. Meehans is the result of a quantum experiment conducted my Mr. Meehan himself and fear the day when they might meet on the field and collapse reality as we know it.
