The Ghoul of Christmas Past was born out of the union of Mr. Gott and his own inflated sense of self importance. One day while extolling his own deep understanding of Dickens to the year 9 class, Mr Gott noticed that a number of his students had suddenly disappeared. Over the following weeks the disturbing trend continued until Mr. Gott was left alone in his classroom with no-one to talk to but the Ghoul himself, who had suddenly appeared seated in the back row. After a long and emotional conversation regarding humility, receptiveness, stolen student grades and a little bit of Keates, Mr. Gott and his Ghoul agreed to go their own ways. No-one knows how the Ghoul spent the intervening years between that fateful day and the day he suddenly appeared on the field for Nigglefish's Undead team, A Death in the Family, but Mr. Gott was a changed man. When asked about Mr. Gott's transformation, Tiny Tim, a student of Mr. Gott's the following year, had this to say: "Yeah, I like him OK this way."
