From the sweltering wastes of the toxic desert, Tolef quickly joined the Guard at age 16, where he managed to lie about his past and age. As he went through basic, he showed the most uncanny ability to dodge fire and slip past enemy lines that he was quickly offered a spot in the 232nd Karsikin Honor regiment.
