In the year 456 LT there was born in a small swampy bayou in the heart of Siria Banwin son of Bauldig. Banwin was an intrepid young man who constantly sought adventure beyond his home, in his early years he stumbled across a Cairn of a long dead chieftain. Banwin broke into the tomb to discover the secrets of the elder men he was attacked by the chieftain Krellion and made into a member of the living dead. Banwin changed his name to Bane and quickly established himself as rule of the Bayou and the villages beyond. Krellion was enraged that his pupil had outshone him and swore vengenance, he attacked Bane during the early morning in the Bayou but he had underestimated his protege and was defeated. Krellion was offered the choice of final death or servitude and he showed his true nature when he bent the knee to the upstart Lord Bane.
The following 500 years showed the power of Bane and he quickly became the dominant force of Etheria it was not until a combined army of Elves, Men and Dwarves laid siege to his palace that he was overthrown. Bane turned on his former general Sartek and tasked him with investigating a new realm to conquer, Sartek succeeded and brought news of the Old World and the sport of Bloodbowl.
Bane laughed at the description of this sport, how he would enjoy crushing all the lifeforms of this planet under his feet at this game.
