Sebastian Bainbridge was living a normal, boring life as the bodyguard to some diplomat or another before he met Captain Daniel Dampson. Quick with a rapier and fast on his feet, Sebastian could wear down even the toughest of opponents. One day, however, Captain Dampson's ship rolled into port, and while playing a game of poker against a group of nobles, Sebastian's boss bet his contract with the fencing Spaniard. Danny won the hand, and Sebastian became Danny's personal bodyguard.

After a very short time on the ship, Sebastian was elevated to First Mate status, becoming the most trusted of Danny's friends and allies. When First Mate Bainbridge heard that the Gluttony's (Danny's ship) crew had been entered into Blood Bowl, he jumped at the chance to show his quick feet and skill. After just one game, his ability to guard those around him was altered to fit into the game of Blood Bowl, and First Mate Bainbridge is always there for his allies, whether facing one or ten opponents.
