After dipping to another low point, the Southern Seafarers realised that, by standards of a team called the Southern <b>Seafarers</b>, they really didn't have many actual seafarers. This was why they called on a reinforcement contingent from their homelands, and when the fleet arrived, the captain was hired to be part of the team. That captain was Dean Barker, and so far, his job of acting as a lucky icon/mascot seems to be coming well into fruition, as the side has yet to lose a game with him in the starting lineup.
