Gouge was original the goon on the bench. More of a threat than an actual player, but as time (and niggling injuries on his teamates) began to accumulate, Gouge saw more and more time on the pitch. He's deloped into an impressive role player. He's frequently seen lending an assist on those important blocks, tripping up those pesky dodgers or (his favourite) gouging out the eyes of the most fearsome players on the opposing team.
