Jonas' monicker "The Gutter" is, as the monickers of all the other players of The Merry Fatfellows, given to him back when the team was yet to be cursed, and so completely undeserved. It is the coach and apothecary of The now-cursed Picknickers that have assigned the players their various monickers in order to lure in bigger audiences and profits. The monickers, however, has become more appropriate after the cursing.

Jonas' monicker is however slightly more deserving that that of most of the Merry Fatfellows, as he actually has hurt an opposing player once, pre-curing, that is. It should be noted that Jonas acted in self-defence and genuinely apologized to the embarrased player in question, something which he now spends a lot more time doing after the curse.
