Lodos, the Safety for the Red Wings, doesn't get a lot of credit for the his work on the field in terms of records, but the Red Wings management are quick to acknowledge his contribution to the team. Lodos' natural position at the back to the Red Wings normal defensive formation means that he is often called on to deliver TD-saving tackles when the Red Wings Blizting corps are a a little overenthusiastic about their blocking and not so much about where the ball actually is.

Lodos also has a few completions to his name, normally as a result of plucking the ball of whichever sap he's just pounded to the turf and lobbing it rapidly back the other way in the Red Wings trademark end-to-end rapid offence.

Because of his positioning at the back of the line, Lodos has also become the Red Wings de facto kicker, something he seems to enjoy.

"The first few games," he told us, "the ball could have ended up anywhere; even in other games taking place in nearby stadiums." However, Lodos' aim has improved immensely, and his positional kicking is often crucial in getting the Red Wings Blizters down the field before the offence can get set.

"I'm enjoying the kicking aspect a great deal." Lodos explained. "I don't even mind when its just the ball I'm kicking any more either."
