Despite Wuarzahg and Gulp being the two head coaches behind the Goonz team, it is Bongus who is the real brains behind everything. If not for him, the Goonz would still be on a hurrendous losing streak (Not that they still don't have them!) as it was he who recruited his companions and trolls, Guff and Lazy, into the team and added the very much needed muscle.

His humorous attire of a crudely sown Troll head is often mistaken for cheap scraps put together at the last second and easily breakable. However this "suit" is in fact fabricated from a vest of mithril, which has lead Bongus to survive even the most brutal of assaults. Bongus is also the designated Troll Handler due to them being his companions, but also because of his special liquid known as "Brain Juice". He carries this in his suit in a set of small syringes, which he regularly injects the trolls with. This hieghtens their intelligence and aggressive nature immensely and has occassionally led the Goonz onto victory during particularly effective doses.

Following his addition to the team too it was Bongus who requested Wuarzahg that they change their formations. Rather than follow the Lowdown Ratz idea of charging head first in a disorganised rabble, Bongus suggested imitating the other more succesfull teams. Reluctantly Wuarzahg agreed, and this lead to the Goonz surprisingly average record, from their previously disastrous.

As such, Bongus is seen as a great addition to the team and is sometimes even called "Boss". This is of course out of the hearing range of the Head Coaches.
