Meadow Rose - Rosa blanda
This is as close as you can get to a 'thornless' rose. Naturally occurring in prairies, meadows and open woodlands, Meadow rose has only a few small prickles at the base of the plant and has no thorns on the flower stems. Growing 3 to four feet tall, it prefers moist soil in full sun or part shade.
