Ulric Blooddrinker, once star Blitzer in his previous life, now leads the Swartzhafen Nightmares on the field of Blood Bowl. After his career was cut short after a career-ending injury by an arrow shot from the crowd, and then having his body shattered and beat into hunks of meat and bone, even as undead Ulric still feels the rage which drove him while he was living. Adorned in the finest plate armour the Old World has to offer he is truly a formidable figure.

Freed from mortals' restrictions like sleep, thirst or hunger, Ulric Blooddrinker can spend all his spare time in training and scouring the different playbooks and strategies of old to perfect his team's play on the pitch.

Recently Ulric suffered another crippling injury. As cruel as fate can be, his old wound which never truly healed in his tendon, was struck by a Chaos Warrior in a brutal match which also lead to the second ending of many of his fellow's lives. Enraged by this, Ulric ordered the Necromancer he had kidnapped to re-incarnate him for a second time. Having repaired the damage which the Chaos Warrior had done, Ulric once more returns to the field, swearing revenge not only on those of the living, but now all followers of Chaos as well.

This wish has been partially fulfilled, though in not the exact way he was hoping. Chaos Dwarf teams seem to be a constant appearance in the Open League and have caused the shambling of many of his players and he. As such, now Ulric the ever spiteful individual, has focused his hatred on the followers of Hazzut.
