It was the closing moments of the second half with Magnus the Red running for the endzone in a mad rush to tie the game when Bloodmane saw his opening. The star blitzer of the elf team Elfheim Eagles FC, Ffarren Branchstrength, did his best to slow the offense down and had managed to fight his way right next to Magnus inside the cage, jeopardizing the whole attempt. It was then that Bloodmane struck, leveling his horns and delivering such a brutal hit to his midsection that his hip was smashed into pieces.

Bloodmane was at it again in the match against the orc team of Liverpool Fanatics. It was around the midway point of the first half when he saw his chance and struck down their star blocker Ron "Bulldozer" O'Connor. It was the hit that was heard around the world with Ron twitching on the ground as life left his body. It was only through the skill of their team apothecary that he returned among the living and was returned to the pitch. In the post-match interview he decreed this to be just a start and to expect much more from him in the coming matches now that he has got the scent of blood in his nostrils.
