Jonathan Edwards is the current triple jump world record holder, set at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenberg.
He holds the two longest jumps of all time at 18.29m and 18.16m, he is also the only man to have jumped over 18m more than once and of the five legal jumps over 18m Jonathan Edwards achieved four of them. He also jumped 18.43m which was wind assisted.
Edwards was an Olympic, double World, European and Commonwealth champion, for a short period in 2002, he held all four medals simultaneously.
Retired n 2003 as Britain's most decorated male athlete.
