Sarin is a convicted murderer, and the only reason why he joined the Hammerers is becouse it allows him to kill over and over again, and becouse its given him an alternate ego. Noone would ever suspect Sarin Bloodbringer was really Nîm Icetears, a man who was convicted of 3 murders connected to a large crime family in the Empire.
He escaped during a fire in the jail he was imprisoned in, and in the process killed 2 guards and stole their equipment. He then proceeded to lay low in a tavern in a small Empire city, and he spent that time figuring out a fiendish scheme to escape justice. He had heard of a promising new Blood Bowl team, and if he could join it he would be safe. He then waited until the team traveled through his city, and staged a bar brawl, in which he "saved" Ibun Halflingwater's life, and killed his attacker in the process. They then spent the remainder of the evening drinking and wenching, and after that night Ibun decided that "Sarin" would be a fitting addition to the team... He hasnt had any reasons to think anything else. Yet.
