*Hired Game 157*
The Constantine's are something of an enigma, their dynasty kings of a small city state off the coast of Tilea. Ruling family they may be, there's only so much gold and after great uncle Fillipo spent the Constantine fortune on criminally overpriced rugs from Araby, the people of their fair state gave them an ultimatum. Tired of sky-high taxes but rather fond of the charming, if more-or-less-irrelevant royal family, Maverick Constantine was charged with bringing back enough money to the city to fix the leaky drain pipes thus proving they weren't utterly incompetent at everything. The problem being Maverick Constantine the first was utterly incompetent at pretty much everything. Signing his family into servitude to the money lender who happened to be a die hard fan of the Bengals, the fit royal lads were put through their paces and eventually earned their stripes. Constantine the first lasted 9 games, his brother 2.
But the third, first son of the original, seems to be made of sterner stuff. A solid player who's making a name for himself rapidly, winning 3 coach MVP awards in just 9 games, Mav's tactical mind and acrobatic talent mark him out as one to watch.
A broken head against a mutant skaven in one of the team's worst beat-downs to date (game 171) means Mav isn't as hardy as he used to be. Something of a liability, he will have to prove his place on the team or face early retirement and a continued exile of shame from his homeland.
Recently his highness has developed a super-human level of agility, hitting the gym hard to compensate for a particularly rough knock to the head sustained on the pitch. The directing staff have high hopes for his new found talents.
A string of great games put an end to Constantine's mediocre patch as his insane dexterity allow him to pull off crowd pleaser after crowd pleaser. With some extensive training Maverick has now learnt to dodge with the best of them which should only enhance his impressive talent.
Killed in the opening stages of game 191 against legendary Punji Stakes by a CPOMB beastman who ripped a whole in his chest too wide for the doctor to have any impact. A real play maker, the third royal to play for the Bengals will be much missed.
Game 160: Coach MVP vs Sons of Brutus
Game 163: Coach MVP vs Lutéciens
Game 165: Coach MVP vs V!=Victory
Game 184: Coach MVP vs Dinozaurai II
Game 187: Coach MVP vs Loth mean relief - another contentious decision for the MVP board. While Constantine pulled off an extra-ordinary play scoring the 1 turner at the end of the second half, he messed up a simple opportunistic pick up following his electrocution at the hands of the dark elf wizard. 'Show-boating' was the word that came up, as the royal pandered to the crowd, only to knock the wet ball bouncing into the hands of the opposition. Scored again taking advantage of the 'crowd-participation', weathering a desperate blitz KO'ing the erstwhile perpetrator.
Game 190: Coach MVP vs Sartosa Sea Wolves - a controversial joint CMVP with blitzer Axel Achtung for nerves of iron in a tight scrum that allowed him to sprint in the winning touchdown
