From the biography of Kevin Hotfire.

"I've always wanted to be a thrower. What's the difference between me and a thrower, afterall? You don't have the skills, they told me. Your passes are not accurate enough, you should stay on the LoS, be a lineman, they said. And so I did, but deep down I knew I had what it took to be a thrower. I sat on the LoS, being a Journeyman for so many teams... They used me as an expendable pawn to protect their most valuable assets. And so i roamed, waiting for the chance to prove myself; but they never allowed me to take the ball, not to speak about making a pass. Many matches I've been waiting, and many times I thought I would've died on the pitch, killed by some stinking orc, without a single pass completed. My dreams shattered on the grass like the bones of my neck, blood spilling from my mouth. But instead, I survived. And I kept living to my dream of becoming a top class passer. And then, one day, the chance came. What a tense game it was. The Screamers had been torn to pieces by some human team. It was the last turn, and I was the only one who could reach the ball. I knew this was my only chance. Coach Street screamed from the bench "Go Hotfire, pick it up and pass to Cornell!". He entrusted me with a 4+ pass to win the game. And so i did it. Dodged out, then dodged again, the ball was right there. I knew I could not miss this chance, the one I had been waiting for so long. And then the ball was in my hand, humans all around me, my heart racing. I could barely spot the reciever, in the dust of the pitch. Time seemed to slow down as i charged the pass. A flashback of all the moments in which I thought I would die on the pitch, a nameless Journeyman. The nights I passed sleepless, figuring out this very moment, training my mind and my body for this one opportunity. I knew I could not miss. The ball went flying through the air, silence dropped on the stadium, as everybody's eyes were sticked to the ball. I closed my eyes, savoured that unreal moment of silence. And then the crowd's explosion of joy, swearings and surprise. I knew I made it, I screamed to the sky with all my power. That was the day I became a Screamer, for Life. Kevin "Smokin'Hand" Hotfire, lineman of the Mad Screamers."
