Giraffy is the last member of the Marky Moose Club, the trio of linemen in big plush mascot costumes who entertained the fans before usually getting splattered on the pitch (entertaining the fans even more.) What happened? Marky Moose became a bona fide star and refused to wear the costume any more. Dennis Dock, his back broken by a hard block, retired from the game. Which leaves Giraffy, who refuses to relinquish the suit. (Even the four-foot-long neck sticking up from his helmet.)

The disturbing thing is, the dress was not part of the costume. Nobody knows where the dress came from.
