Current Tournament Eternal Mists of Anmyr Team Background Many years ago, in an epic battle agains Morghur, the mighty tree Addaivoch in the realm of Anmyr was reduced to a blighted and atrophied husk. All life around the now rebranded “Tree of Woe” perished and withered. After the battle a small group of Naiads, Elves and Spites regenerated at the lifeless roots and found their home turned into a barren, lifeless glade, on which no tree would ever grow again. Sadness struck their hearts. The mourning period lasted several centuries. The group of Elves, Naiads and Spites started roaming, always accompanied by a dense, magical fog. The ‘Eternal Mists of Anmyr’ became infamously feared throughout the forest. After some time the Eternal Mists even ventured beyond the forest borders, along the rivers Brienne and Grismerie. They filled their depressing lives by sinking ships, waylaying travelers and searching for a new goal in life. It is there, on the treeless plains of Bretonnia, they first witnessed a Blood Bowl match played on the shores of the river. And suddenly it struck them: Even a treeless landscape has its uses! Glorious blood bowl matches can be played on treeless glades! They could find a purpose on their barren homeland again! The Eternal Mists quickly returned to their homeglade and turned it into a blood bowl pitch. However, the group did not give up its traveling life in the slightest. They would travel the various rivers and streams to faraway lands to challenge the local blood bowl team to a duel. The opponent would surely beg for a revenge match, played at the roots of Addaivoch. Especially in these home matches the Eternal Mists would play ferociously. With religious fanatism, they would loudly scream “FOR THE GLORY OF ANMYR!” and honor the mighty elm Addaivoch by scoring as many touchdowns as they could, and by stomping as many prone opponents as they could. The home supporters would be seated on the various dead branches of Addaivoch and cheer at all the action. The away supporters, however, would be covered in a dense fog, unable to witness the match at all. After some years of playing, cheering, stomping and celebrating, the barren land slowly began to change. Grass started growing on the pitch again! The matches are nowadays played on a green field. Will the transformation continue? Will the scoring, stomping and cheering return the life to this lifeless glade? Will the mighty Addaivoch bloom once more? Will the Tree of Woe return to its former state and spread joy instead of pain? Perhaps we will never know. But the team is strongly devoted to finding out!! Team colours are black for the scorched and dead tree and white for the eternal mists surrounding it. Team Results

A streak of four 2+ dodges (with built-in reroll), two go for its and a 4+ ball pickup was required, with total chance of success of 25.6%. Epic Fails Summer Y1, in the match against Amanar Archivists, we deployed our first Vengabus. It was so ready to drive into the opponents half, steamroll over the opposition, and score a touchdown. But before we could even blink our eyes the Vengabus was completely gone up in smoke in a big magic blazing fireball! We are still studying the matter to develop more fire-resistant plays. |
