| After performing well in the first season of the 5 star league, winning their division and reaching the semi finals before being knocked out by the eventual winners, Ravenous for Destruction have had a disasterous second season, coming second last in the division , only beating the guy whonever played a single game and was disqualified... The third season was better, with wins coming in from all over the place, ending up 3rd in the div was pretty good too considering. the playoffs wern't great, having only 4 players didnt help, and we were knocked out in the first round. Season 4! First game was against the same team we played in the playoffs, the recently promoted DeathStrikesAll, despite now having 5 players, our game wasnt much better, as we were outblocked all over, despite the opponants doubleskull tally. The end score was 2-1 against, no prizes for who scored our TD, and with a dwarf being BH on the very last turn, it wasnt a good start for the Raveners, onto the next game...and away from mummies, hopfully... Well, after a disaterous second match against the chaos team Bits'n'Pieces, where the team were completly outplayed and lost 2-0, the players fought back against the Mighty Sauropods, after spending most of the first half in the Sauropods half, the ball finally got away from the Bull Cenataurs, and the Sauropods scored in the closing phases of the half. The ravenours fought back in the second half though, with another good showing from Apocalypse as he scored an equiliser, the remains of the half were spent with the ball changing hands as much as it could, but since neither side could gain an advantage and the game ended a deserved draw between the two teams. The fourth game was against a very much diminished Norse Runners team, bad luck and a distinct lack of players gave the game quite easily to the Raveners, to give them their first win of the season. three touchdowns from Apocylipse, and additional ones from both Judgement II and Horseman secured the match, but we wern't without fault, as a couple of silly mistakes (including a double re-rolled tripple skull!) gifted the Norse with a couple of touchdowns themselves, which could have easily been avoided. |
