Of all the Blood Bowl teams in the Old World, none of them are quite as curious as the Frostholm Dragons. Previously an unknown side named the Khazid Brynwyr Skarrenruf, they rose to infamy when a bored Elven princeling by the name of Endricharoi purchased them from their previous owners as the result of a bet gone wrong. Much to the chagrin of the local fans, the team were swiftly “civilised” by the princeling- gone was their centuries old nickname of “the Blues” and their humble blue-and white kit, replaced by a much more fanciful and fashionable crimson and gold unform and their current moniker. Gone was their old ground- the Irkulgrik, a cramped but comfortable underground pitch lit by the soft glow of luminescent subterranean fungi whose walls rang every cheer and clatter of armour back at you a thousand times- swiftly replaced at great cost by the Prince Endricharoi Stadium, a vast but soulless arena built upon the shores of Varn Brynwyr, the notoriously wind-lashed lake that gave Khazid Brynwyr its name. Prince Endricharoi then doubled down on his hubris by deciding to change the team’s ethos entirely, going from a traditional ground-and-pound Dwarven attack to a much more crowd-pleasing passing-based offence.

History has yet to decide whether or not the crowd pleased will be that of the Dragons or that of the opposing side, but rest assured that we here at Blood Bowl Round-Up will keep you up-to-date with all the news as we get it. Until next time, this is Jim Johnson saying “don’t touch that dial!”
