| Formerly of the now defunct Diremire Dragons, the retired skink Abu'Dhabii bought the rights of the team and became the coach of this team, named in his honor. After a career in which he achieved 76 star player points, Abu woke up too sore to play on a daily basis with his 4 niggles. The Dragons ended their team with a career record sorely lacking in wins. Abu recalls that they were about 11-6-24. Most of their games were within reach but usually there were either too few skinks left on the field to finish strong, or there was too much inexperience at the skink position, something Abu vows to change with the new Dragons. "Basically, we had no depth...there was me and Ciigar and Sven and that was it." Abu remembers saying. Although Ciigar and Ssvengali have retired, their children have joined this squad and are eager to make their fathers proud. "I'm just eager to play" says Ciiga'ri." Whose father was known for making impossible plays and was given a medal of valor by the Slaughterhouse 5000, a worthy chaos opponent. The Diremire Dragon's did decide to end the team on a positive note however, by defeating "The Fredericks" a team of dark elves...a representation of everything wrong in Lustria, namely dark elven invaders. Asked by reporters who his least favorite teams are, Coach Abu easily said "Anything Undead...and Dark Elves they are the most prevelant to play and they keep coming back for more." A community of our scaly brethren has even sprung up in the midsts of the mists of Diremire and has fashioned this townsip after the popular player and coach, so that there is now a township called Abu'Dhabii. We will see how the second generation of dragons do. |
