"What we need is a few good Taters..."

This has been the catch cry of the Mashed Taters team since before it's creation in 2304.

Back then, Master Chef Glorri Fumblequick owned a well known Inn in the southern Empire and had served some of the best Blackfire Goulash that could be found for leagues around. His Inn soon became famous for the dish and he soon had enough money to start sponsoring his own Bloodbowl team with corporate sponsor's box and his own line of merchandising.

Halflings came from leagues around to join the team as it's traditional for the Mashed Taters to be given a free meal of Blackfire after every game whether they win or lose!

They're called Mashed Taters' to honor the main ingredient in the famous dish, although whispers around the league say it's more because the poor little fellows often resemble mashed potatoes after every match they play.

Fortunately, there seems to be a never ending supply of eager volunteers for the team throughout the halfling community and their fan base is one of the largest in all of the Old World.

One day, they may even score a touchdown!
