When the Elfheim Eagles won the bloodbowl XX were the Laureloran nobles quick to take advantage of the prestige granted by the great victory. This put the proud Caledorian nobles at a huge disaadvantage against the Laureloran nobles as the Laureloran nobles often used their great success on the bloodbowl pitch to win the intrigues at the court of the Phoneix King. Many of the Caledorian nobles clenched their fists in their robes and fashionable dresses but it was only when the famous Caledorian singer and poet Vertan Finetone was refused the honour of commanding an expedition to thwart the plans of an ambitious Norscan Warlord that something finally was done about the issue.

Finetone who was chosen instead of a lowranking Laureloran noble with a face disgfigured of countless scars from various battles decided that it was time to do something about the improper favouritism of the Laureloran nobles and therefor banded together with other Caledorian nobles and bought a local team. Finetone who didn't want to sully himself by spending his time on crude financial buissness and dealing with commoners simply ordered one of his servants to buy a mediocre team which had ended somewhere in the middle of the Caledonian open league. Firetone planned to strengthen the team by buying some stars before the next season started and then not only enjoy the prestige gained by owning a team competing in Ulthuan Invitational but also be able to claim that his inspired leadership had led to the success. By using an impressive amount of his family fortunes was he able to secure the services some of the best High Elven throwers and catchers available.

Having awesome catchers like Lucien Skyarrow and Ollinor Enorm backed up by an extraordinarily far throwing player like Maltea Öleas did however not help much when they were support by 12 rather inbred Elven farmers from a small backwater town located on the slopes of Caledors third highest mountain. The season therefor went exactly like all the years before. The Caledor Skymasters won all of their home games since all other teams in the league refused to play on the same field as a herd of pigs. Whatever the opposing teams ment the Caledor skymasters or actually ment the pig herd sometimes seen roaming the western half of the field is however still unclear.
