<i>Naggaroth. Cold and unforgiving. A wasteland filled with promises of a painful death. The only signs of life come from the dark cities with their bone-like spires and skull-like domes. Deep in the hearts of those cities lies huge temples dedicated to an ancient god. <b>Khaine</b>. The dark lord of murder.</i> The temple air was filled with the aroma of freshly spilled blood and emptied bowels. Screams from the sacrificed echoed through the halls on their way to the higher realms. Netzachariel finished her prayer and rose from the steaming pile of entrails. The vision was intriguing. Could the souls of these murderers, dead for countless millennia, really be brought back? The thought made her quiver with anticipation. It had to work! The preparations took a week. Eleven fine specimens were chosen and ritually (and delicately, so as the bodies would be unscathed) killed. Their souls offered as a bargain for the antediluvian murderers. With screams in their throats and fire in their eyes, the killers were reborn. Bewildered, confused, amazed, they slowly accepted what had happened to them. With their new, swifter, immortal bodies, nothing could stop them. This time they wouldn't be denied! They were shipped across the Sea of Claws to challenge (and kill) the toughest and fiercest creatures in the world. Their mission was to steal the sacrifices to another god right under his metaphysical nose. The souls dedicated to Nuffle were about to be rerouted to Khaine. |
