The Vandir Vandals led a charmed Blood Bowl career until August 22. Without any permanent injuries or deaths, the team had until then skyrocketed in rating and the roster was full of healthy young Norseman (and a Minotaur).

On that day the Ministers of Death trod upon the Vandals like a treeman stepping in a pile of halfling droppings: ten casualties (with one successful apothecary treatment) were caused, including a pitch invasion.

The Vandals are wary of chaos teams now - they suffered their first death - Valer, the catcher - and their first permanent injury (Olaf the lineman). With the team therapists, the Vandals were able to persevere, however.

After a particularly exciting game on September 6 against the Adunaic Gunners, Hansel the Blitzer retired with a broken collarbone. Known as the most sturdy of the blitzers, it was felt his contributions to the team were lessened with his new weakness. Loken the thrower also received a niggling injury in the game, but elected to play on.

In a surprise move, the Vandals signed Hans Hanselsen, Hansel's son! Hopes were high that he would follow in his father's footsteps. Literally.
