<p align="justify"><b>STOP PRESS</b> Despite their strong start the Deepwell Dragons have suffered some early setbacks. Along with the unfortunate death of Zandar de Zuul, there have been a number of serious incidents resulting in long term injuries. Despite having a loyal following, gates have been small and the team has been forced to play with only 10 players several times now. Still - this is the stuff legends are made of and team morale remains high.<br><br>Rumoured to be financed by an ancient and powerful Dragon of the Deep, this Dark Elf team got it's first look at the sun last week - they were not impressed. As Deepwell Dragon's Kicker <b>Chawk Chazz</b> remarked - "What a stupid idea that thing is, you can't even turn it off when you need to stab someone in the back!"<br><br> <b>Head Coach Fezdan</b> issued a press release just after their first above ground training session -<br><br>"I have been placed under instructions by the team owner, who naturally has a concern for the longevity of her considerable investment, to look for opponents that offer minimum prospects for casualties, at least until the rookie players have developed their potential a little. This of course goes against all of my principles as a bloodbowl coach - but so does being slowly devoured from the feet up while still awake! <b>So don't be suprised if we refuse to play you bashy teams.</b></p> |
