After a brutal introduction to professional Blood Bowl in Season 3 Rookies West Division of the Deep South League, the team learnt how to hit back and did well with a 5/1/1 record, with the single loss almost preventing their Season 4 promotion to Division ONE. Surprising the critics, the league and their own Coach, Season 4 saw the young team improve with a 6/0/1 record, and top Division One. This came at a cost, with the death of Pericles Willcurse in the last game of the season. Pericles has since been signed by the Skye Shamblers as a zombie. More of this extreme level of body contact is expected, with the team nervously preparing for promotion to the Season 5 DSL Premier League. In their first Premiership Season 5 2/0/4 was reasonable considering the disparity between teams in this hard fought, warts and all competition. Although suffering badly from injury, United manage to stave off relegation to remain in the Premmies. Note that only 5 players have managed every game. In the second last game of the Premier Season 6, the team was brutalised and terrorised by Chaos Warriors who were possessed of the favour of their foul Gods. Despite managing to seriously injure two of their dread opponents, four deaths and a number of injuries resulted in no chance of a win to end the season with enough points to stave off relegation. Although the sheer bravery of the remaining three players on the field managed to force a draw, the team and fans went into mourning after the game and Coach Elan announced that they are unable to continue to play, moving from the funerals, through the wake to retirement. |
