It is impossible to learn Quimbanda from books or courses - as much as it is impossible to pick up any true knowledge and mastery of any Southlands Tradition Religion during a 'Two Week Initiation Retreat'! It would not just be irresponsible but simply unethical to make such claims! What you can expect to find here though is information on how to 'make contact' with the realm of Exu, and how to work with the Spirits of the Dead. This for us is the safest and sanest way to approach Quimbanda. Ancestor Worship, Necromancy, Mediumship Development - no matter what you call it, it is all the same! Quimbanda is after all a Cult of the Spirits of the Dead! 'Grasping the Winds' was put together to introduce people to the concepts and practices of "Working with the Spirits of the Dead". The program will teach: - How to contact and communicate with the ancestors/spirits of the dead - How to set up and maintain an ancestral shrine - How to develop mediumistic skills and relay messages from the spirit world - How to use the ancestors/spirits of the dead for divination - How to contact and work with spirit guides/guardians - How to 'shut out' unwanted and destructive spirit influences - How to incorporate what you learn into your personal spiritual practice, be it Spell Craft/ Witchcraft, Rootwork or simply more effective Mediumship work. |
