Team Bio The team was created in the misguided hands of a retired publican with no coaching experience. On consulting his beginners guide to modern bloodbowl coaching methods (Living Rule Book 5) he decided not to spend any money on building a fan base (fan factor one...) Finally deciding to change things up after a start of 1/1/4 W/D/L, an overhaul of team tactics was implemented. Results have been improving and word of this new exciting team has the fan base steadily improving. After the narrow victory over Kingjawa's Doom Reapers, emerging star Faunus decided to hang up his boots and help coach the defensive side of the team, which obviously needed some work! The 22nd game was a tight affair that drew the crowds and the teams fan base finally climbed above that of fledgling teams (above ff 9), the head coach was caught reflecting that their opposition was apt as most of the team thought it was not bloody likely that they could ever be a hit amongst the fans. Still the rising cost of the players' expenses has meant the team still ekes out a meagre existence. A high scoring victory over the Fumbbl Cup winning Nandorins helped to spread the word of this emerging team, and the fan factor increased in each of the next three games. Picus finally decided to hang up his boots after his 34th match. Keeping injury free despite reaching Superstar status, it looked like he had a good stetch of career ahead of him until he reached Megastar status. Having learned to deal Mighty Blows, management was keen to keep him until the next stage of his development when his contract would be reviewed. Unfortunately, clearly opponents got tired of being hit harder and the great Shukumine Sensei dealt a powerful blow, smashing Picus's ankle. Fans will be pleased to know that Picus will be joining Faunus on the teams coaching staff.

Coming into their 44th match the Woodland Gods had been on a tear of 26/2/0 since there last defeat. Whilst this match was to see them extend this run, it can at a lofty price, sustaining 3/4/2 cas and dropping 70 TS, including the death of influential thrower Apollo. The next match saw two more Woodland Gods die and their TR dropped 71 points from their previous high. The fans approve of the revitalisation of the team and in the aftermath of match 46 the team fan factor has hit 20! <a href=http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=2589536 Game 56: Took a shot at the UI V Qualifier: Light Lantern. Disappointed in the first round, especially as the opponents failed to play in round two giving their round 2 opponents a bye to the final. Game 60, Game 63: Rookies are getting injuries, dying and aging. The established stars keep getting more expensive without aging. It's gotten to the stage that I don't think the team can be returned to health by tweaking anymore. Eventually the team will become totally unbalanced if I keep replacing all non-healthy rookies. So I'm saving my money and keeping the -stat rookies (-AV Daryl Hannah, -ST Gaia, -AV Tane Mahuta), Once the team is MNG free, I'll enter them into a major and rebuild the leftovers =). Game 66: UI VI Qualifier: Bright Lantern Round 1: Game 66: UI VI Qualifier: Bright Lantern Round 2: Game 66: UI VI Qualifier: Bright Lantern Round 3: UI VI Qualifier: Bright Lantern Winner Two prep games later (including 8 CAS, 5 SI) I've decided it's as good as it's going to get.
