| Originally the crew of a dark elf Doomreaver squadron attached to a dark elf fleet, this group of hubristic individuals decided to go it alone as pirates. Leaving their fleet and the safety of the Black Ark, they roamed the waters between the Southlands and Cathay. During what some would describe as a disasterous raid on an Arabian merchant fleet ("They got lucky!"), their Helldrakes suffered serious injuries, but managed to make it to the coast of the Dark Lands. Knowing that the Helldrakes would take months of constant nursing to return them to full sea-faring strength, the dark elves did what any caring beastmasters would do for their beloved sea creatures.... they killed them and lived off the meat for over a month! Knowing they would not be rescued, they set up home in a cave network, and started raiding the surrounding settlements. During one of these raids, they happened accross a Blood Bowl match in progress. Seeing how much gold was given out to the teams following the game, their leader Galen decided forming a blood bowl team would be a much more profitable (and fun) way to spend their time..... Keeping the name of their 'ships' the Doomreavers started their quest for Blood Bowl glory. Although not the most well supported team in Blood Bowl history (how many Dark Land orcs or goblins are going to follow elves around), the Doomreavers are slowly gaining respect for their 'enthusiastic' approach to the game..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a rollercoaster start, and shrugging off a crushing (literally) defeat to the Skullkeep Defenders where they fled to save themselves, the Doomreavers embark on a 5 game winning streak that sees their popularity soar. 5 victories and 5 FF increases in a row, can the Doomreavers continue this hot streak? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No. In their next 4 matches, the Doomreavers suffer a draw and then three straight 2-1 defeats, but fortunately most of their new fans stay loyal. Can they overturn this run of bad form? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up to 30 matches, and the Doomreavers' form can best be described as 'OK'............ |
