As with all Mesoamerican cultures, the Aztecs played a variant of the Mesoamerican ballgame named tlachtli. The game was played with a ball of solid rubber, called an olli, whence derives the Spanish word for rubber, hule. The players hit the ball with their hips, knees, and elbows and had to pass the ball through a stone ring to automatically win. Tlachtli began as a normal sport, then it was believed to be a sacred game which added a new rule. The loser would be sacrificed to the gods.

Unfortunately this new rule deprived the Ringers of the chance to spill their opponent's blood themselves. So they have set their sights on the Old World and a new game to satisfy their needs...<hr>
