Party was born 1906. Finland became independent 1917. At the beginning the support of the party was based strongly on large countryside population, but nowadays supporters come from every social background. The Centre Party has always been, as the name of the party says, a party in the centre between the left wing and the right wing. It is today and has been throughout its history a constructive and socially renewing social power. |
