Athel Loren Swiftriders

Bio- Sick and tired of playing their own, the Athel Loren Swiftriders have traveled to the Northern Waste to compete against some of the best. Lead by their team captain Saetril, the Swiftriders are undermanned for the beginning of the season as their entire team was not able to leave Athel Loren. Money was short to acquire the transportation for the entire team because the journey was long and Saetril had to put up most of the money himself. As the season continues, Saetril hopes to gain enough funds from adoring fans and matches to transport more of his original players from home.

The Legend- The NWL accepted the Swiftriders into season 8 with only 3 months before the start of the season. The journey from Athel Loren to the Northern Wastes is treacherous to say the least. The journey is expensive, often requiring a guide whom will cost up to 500k for a reliable one and as a whole costing up to one million gold pieces. It takes 6 months to travel to the Northern Wastes and this trip can only be taken near the end of winter as not to travel in the middle of the summer. To top it all off, only half who travel to the Northern Wastes live to tell the tale. Saetril gathered ten of his best men, including skilled QB Feanor Skybringer, the old veteran Cirdan Elendil, and fan favorite receiver Kertahl Heartstealer. The team prepared for the journey ahead leaving at the beginning of the blistering summer. But before they left, Saetril sent a message to NWL commissioner Celas informing his team would be joining the league for season 8.

Two months and thirty days passed. Celas had heard nothing from Saetril and planned to start the season without them. However, on that day Saetril and his ten best burst into Celas's office and said two words,"We're here." Legend has it at that exact same time a messenger entered the office as well. The message was Saetril's for Celas written before they left. Celas still in a state of shock grasped for a pen and asked for their team name. Saetril looked at his team and said," call us the Swiftriders." On that day, Saetril Swiftrider and the legend of the Swiftriders was born.
