<table><tr><td><img src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/171558.jpg"><td><font size=1></table> Snottingham Woods are a team steeped in history yet with most of their glory days well behind them.Hailing from the famed city of Snottingham ,known as the jewel of Albion,they dominated the early years of the Far Albion League, and are in fact one of Albion's oldest teams. Taking their name from the vast areas of ancient woodland surrounding their home ground by the banks of the river Trant,they were founded by the infamous wizard and Bloodbowl coach Brain Cluff. Cluff's plans to found a Bloodbowl dynasty had first centred on the towns of Lards And Dirby, but failing to excite the populations of these two bloodbowl backwaters he turned his attention to Snottingham. In years to come their decision to spurn Cluff would come back to haunt them.Realising he would need to create a dramatic impression if his plan was to be a success Cluff appeared before a meeting of the local Aldermen by walking across the Trant thereby ensuring a welcoming ear for his Bloodbowl plans. Within 3 years those plans had been achieved with Snottingham victorious in the Far Albion League. Domination of the Albion scene meant Cluff could turn his attention to the old world and victory in several tournaments there followed. However success came with a price and as the team's fortunes rose so did the size of Cluff's ego a rise matched only by the decline in his sanity. This descent into madness was epitomised by his signing of Northwich City's catcher Justine Flashynew, based only on Cluff 's view that she would look good in red.Despite attempts under new coaches such as David Pratt and Gary Muggson,the glory days were gone and the team fell deeper and deeper into obscurity So their fame long behind them the Tricky Trees as the Woods are known have once again turned their attention to the Old World in an attempt to revive their fortunes. Now run by eccentric millionaire Niggle Doubty they have acquired wholesale famed Amazon team the Forest Maidens and applied to join Obba in a last desperate attempt at glory.Whether this plan will succeed only time will tell. TEAM INFORMATION RIVAL CLUB = LA GALAXY With David " my glory days are well behind me " Beckham in their ranks they inficted Snottinghams first defeat in their first ever match. To add insult to injury they brutally murdered Linewoman Petra Withe and the philanderer Beckham didn't call in the morning despite repeated assurances his intentions were honourable.For this multitude of slights they will pay. |
